Peter Gruber: Notgasse (historic novel)

The writer lives in Ennstal and in Vienna and has described the times of the Protestant Reformation and peasant uprisings in the years 1524/25 in a thrilling and highly informative novel. This era changed the lives of the then living inhabitants of this region so dramatically that even today one can find traces from that period and its massive implications, for example in one or the other ritual or tradition that is characteristic of Catholic and Protestant culture or when visiting the rocky gorge "Notgasse".
